As you may know already, yesterday we showed you the first images with the new 2011 Peugeot 508 and 508 SW, but today it seems that things are beginning to move on the web as the first details of the new car emerged. It appears that the new vehicle will have a length of 4.79 meters, while the 508 SW (4.81 meters) will be with four centimeters longer than its predecessor. Regarding the engines, the new Peugeot will carry the new VTi and THP engine capable to deliver from 120 to 200 hp. The big improvement will be the diesel engines, which will carry the so-called e-HDI technology, expected to deliver a fuel consumption decrease of up to 15 percent, using also the stop-start system. The new 508 range will receive also a hybrid variant dubbed Hybrid4, which will use a hybrid four-wheel drive diesel powertrain capable to deliver 200 hp. More details to be revealed!
